About Participants
Seekers. Doubters. Believers. Dreamers. Mid-Lifers. In-Betweeners. Life-Long Learners. These are a few descriptions of people who like to partake in The Feast. We have also discovered in our work with adults of all ages that there are still some people who like to turn down the pages of a real book, who like the feel of a pen (pencil, crayon, paint brush) on real paper, who long for conversations with real people, and who want to discover meaningful ways to live a real life.
Maybe you are one of these people too.

About the SourceBook
A journal. A workbook. A resource manual. A story. Feast for the Journey: A Creative Path for Cultivating and Celebrating a Life That Matters invites you to move at your own pace through four soul-satisfying courses about living the good life. In it you will find an enlightening personal survey called The StoryWheel along with an incredible resource section that lists recommended books, films, and places to visit. This SourceBook serves as the basis for many of the retreats offered. FIND OUT MORE & ORDER HERE.
About Our Philosophy
We embrace the motto, "Ancora Imparo," which comes from Michelangelo who at age eighty said, "I am still learning."
That pretty well says it.

About Us
Believing that we all have something to teach and something to learn, we tend to function more as "hosts" and facilitators than experts or "gurus." See more about us below (we're the ones smiling because our pictures were taken outside--recess has always been our favorite subject!).

Nevin Compton Trammell, LCSW, EdD
Nevin Compton Trammell is the poet-in-residence for Feast for the Journey. A licensed clinical social worker and career expert, his journey with poetry began by writing on scraps of paper and bar napkins which he furtively squirreled away in closet drawers and shoeboxes. Many years later he reluctantly began to share his poetry with close friends. His book, Cream Soda Blues: Poems for Adult Children of Life was the result.
He is one of the chosen poets in Leading from Within: Poetry That Sustains the Courage to Lead (Jossey-Bass) and has appeared at the Southern Festival of Books in Nashville, Tennessee.
Nevin has a doctorate in education from Vanderbilt University and continues to write on any scrap of paper he can get his hands on.
